This hotel is phenomenal - the best we've stayed at in Japan so far, and a great room for the price. We stayed in the superior double room. The service was amazing from check-in, cleaning, and checkout. The location is near Kyoto station, right down the street from the Shinkansen exit. There are also many food options (quick or otherwise) nearby, and a plethora of shopping to do. The room was spacious, the bed was enormous, and the whole place smelled great. The bathroom was amazing - there is a separate toilet from the shower and soaking tub. The TV allows connecting to your streaming apps and not just local channels which is great for international guests! The microwave, toaster fridge freezer, and washer dryer were lifesavers as a midpoint in our long trip - we could eat simply and do our built up laundry peacefully. There is laundry detergent provided! Also, the staff here are very responsive if you write with questions! Overall, it's a great experience to stay.

This is a fabulous hotel in a handy location. The rooms are spacious and very clean with excellent storage. There are great amenities in both the kitchen (induction cook top, microwave, utensils etc and a washer drier), and in the bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable (we had a twin room) and we loved the pillows. Excellent air conditioning. The room was appealing and comfortable to lounge in wearing the yukata robes and slippers provided. The shower was clever and the wet room part of the bathroom was brilliant. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and it was an added bonus to have complimentary hot and cold drinks in the lobby lounge between 3pm and midnight. We stayed three nights but would also be perfect for a longer stay. Great value for money. Kyoto Station is a few minutes away and there are two convenience stores very close by.

The beds uncomfortable but everything else and the staff 10/10. English speaking reception was great and so helpful and nice. The room fantastic and the bathroom bath bidet showers and washing and drying was fantastic. Very clean! Nicely put together. Could have been a little cheaper, because accommodation can be cheaper in Japan. In an emergency, they won’t give you an opportunity to change your booking and delay it by one day, eg I was desperately ill, and was struggling to leave from Osaka to get here), and so we would lose the entire days $$ if rebooked and paid! I think that was something they should have considered as I was rushed to emergency in Osaka. Hence we had to travel here, to Kyoto, while so sick with bronchial asthma. That just triggered another attack and I ended up once again in an ambulance at Kyoto International Hospital.

We LOVED this hotel -- it was affordable, near the train station which was so convenient -- the location is down a quiet street which we also loved. The room was the nicest we had in all of Japan -- it was also massive, spotless, and had such a cool design. It also had laundry which is clutch when having been traveling for months. There were a ton of thoughtful touches like having kimonos in the room + leaving waters and towels hanging on our door if we opted out of getting our room cleaned. The staff was AMAZING -- they were so helpful, thoughtful, kind, and couldn't have been nicer. The e bikes were also great as well as the coffees in the lobby in the morning and into the evening. I would 100000% stay here again when I come to Kyoto - you should too :)

eph Kyoto is a lovely, architect designed boutique hotel very conveniently located near Kyoto Station. It is hidden down a side alley in a very quiet and safe location, and is a short walk to shops, restaurants, the expansive station complex and Kyoto Tower. The staff were super friendly, and helpful, and the decor of the entire site - exterior, entrance foyer, lounge area, and the rooms is delightful, classy and relaxing. Our king room had two comfortable king single beds joined together and the room had an added bonus of a washer/dryer, which we took full advantage of. We had breakfast twice on site and loved it both times. We would readily stay there again.
